Finalists in the BPEX Foodservice sausage of the year competition

Althams Butchers are proud to announce we've made the final round of the BPEX Foodservice Sausage of the Year

BPEX, the leading standards association for pork, have already awarded several Althams Butchers sausages with Gold Awards.

We've picked up a record five awards for our sausages.

In the Best Innovative Pork Sausage category, we were awarded Gold Award for our Pork, Leek and Welsh Rarebit Sausage.

We scooped a Gold Award for our Traditional Pork Sausage in the Traditional Pork Sausage category.

In the Best Export Sausage Category we took home another Gold Award for our Pork and Dewlay Garstang Blue Cheese Sausage.

In the Speciality Pork Sausage category we've won Gold Awards for the following:

  • Pork, Coleman's Mustard and Cracked Black Pepper Sausage
  • Pork, Wholegrain Mustard and Real Lancashire Black Pudding Sausage

We're also delighted to announce that two of our award winning sausages have made it to the final to hopefully be crowned the coveted Sausage of the Year.

The final is to be held at Butchers Hall on Friday 25th October 2013 and our Sales Manager, David Keating, and Company Development Chef, Warren Lewis will be there to represent us.
